Description

This is a portrait of Emma Watson (as Hermione) :) This is taken from a scene in the upcoming fourth movie, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I have to admit that I am quite proud of this work, I spent alot more time on this one than usual, and although it is obviously not flawless, I think I am improving my technique (hopefully). I hope you enjoy this one :)

I updated this with the process by which it was created :)

Wow! Stunning work. I myself am not a Harry Potter fan, but this is beautiful, though I like the face better than the hair. Still, overall, this is very well done. You wouldn't happen to have a link to the reference image, would you?

Very pretty work! I think you should darken the shadows and maybe try to variate the skin tones a little. Very good work!

The extra effort pays off. Striking resemblance, good use of tones. One crit: The hard line on top, between hair and background makes the hair look flat. Maybe you should soften it.

Nice image, though I'm not a big fan of paintovers.

Its a good work, but since its such an obvious use of photoreference, I would have loved to see a bit of your own interpetation in the picture. Maybe an interesting composition or some cool other feature.
But good work!

beautiful! great idea. i just love the concept.

now, talking seriously - this is not the most creative painting i've ever seen... and the creativity is what makes art.

it's only my opinion. you can stone me for this heresy -- i don't like it...

though technically it's very good :)

Absolutely awesome. Excellent painting. I think this is your best work (although Real Emotion would have to be a close second ;) )

I hate to admit it, but she's really pretty. I think a closer crop or maybe adding something to the bottom would make it look less like a copy of a screencapture and more like a portrait.
